A small, independent British alpine racing publication. Three editors, one shared view of what the British serious skier deserves to read.
BARSC exists because the serious recreational British skier is underserved. That reader (the one who does seven to ten days a year, understands what carved turns should feel like, probably has some racing background, and genuinely wants to get better) sits between the holiday content, the backcountry magazines, the official bodies, and the big forums. None of those, on their own, cover all of what this reader actually cares about.
We do not claim the category is empty. British skiers have been served well by forums, governing bodies, holiday publications, and the odd coach's YouTube channel for a long time. What is harder to find is one place that threads technique, gear, club racing, UK slopes, the Alpine resorts worth going to, and the full history of British alpine racing into a single editorial voice for skiers who take their own improvement seriously.
That is the space BARSC is built for.
The site is run by three editors, each responsible for their own patch. No sponsorships, no affiliate-driven gear hype, no "top 10" filler. If something is good we explain why. If the spec does not match the price we say so. If an article is written by Emma, it is because Emma knows the gear side in a way that James and Torin do not, and vice versa.
